John D. Heliotis, President of Northeastern Group LTD, is an experienced insurance and financial professional with extensive experience in insurance, finance, and commercial and residential mortgages. Licensed as both an insurance and mortgage broker with advanced degrees in Finance, he has successfully operated his own business for fifteen years, and has been particularly successful in advising and assisting start-up businesses.

In addition to his own expertise, Mr. Heliotis has developed a staff with a wealth of "hands on' experience in all phases of commercial and personal insurance, Surety Bonds, common mortgages and employee leasing services.

To meet the challenges of financial deregulation, which began in earnest in the mid 1980s, including legislation allowing banks to sell insurance.             HISTORY

Northeastern Group LTD, and its predecessor John D. Heliotis, has been part of the Queens and Nassau business community since 1985, serving the needs of the general community since its creation. In addition, the agency has played an important role in the Greek American community of the New York metropolitan area, and has strong ties to other ethnic groups.

Since its inception, Northeastern Group LTD Insurance established a reputation for meeting the needs of public work contractors for surety bonds and contractors insurance packages. The growth of the Greek American community and its involvement in the construction and real estate markets contributed to the growth and success of the agency. Satisfied customers recommended the agency to others and eventually Northeastern became an important resource to the small and medium sized business located in the New York City area. Many new customer relationships are still formed through referrals, which help newcomers build a life in New York.

The name Northeastern Group Ltd. was chosen to reflect the diversity of the company and the variety of services that are offered to our customers and to allow it to expand geographically in the northeastern part of the country.
